Inside the Auburn Tigers Carter's replacement seems to already be in the building. The Tigers recently secured a commitment from former Georgia State outfielder John Beverley, who hit .365 and stole 35 bases as a sophomore in 2026 . . . "We're going to bring a national championship back . . . To rebuild the front court for the 2026-27 season, Auburn added French center Narcisse Ngoy to add some rim protection. Ngoy won the Elite 2 League MVP after leading the league in rebounds and blocks. He also averaged 10.7 points per game . . . Two players have declared their intentions to enter the portal since it opened Tuesday: freshman forward Filip Jovic and freshman point guard Kaden Magwood . . . Magwood was a four-star recruit out of high school and ranked as the No. 2 player out of North Carolina . . . When asked why he stayed, Murray spoke specifically about the relationship he built with new head coach Alex Golesh . . . Alex Golesh and company have shifted their attention to another top-rated defensive lineman, this time in the form of Zylen Little. Little is a four-star 2028 defensive lineman . . . Senior edge rusher Chris Murray has been granted another year of eligibility . . . "I just love the place; I love the people here. From the equipment managers to the head coach, everybody is nice. Like I get it I'm a recruit and I ain't dumb. But I have feelings and I feel stuff, and what's going on between Auburn and me is real . . . Overton is a junior, Freeman a sophomore, Williams-Adams a freshman . . . Auburn signed three more running backs out of the transfer portal . . . Auburn only returned three offensive linemen, but all three were freshmen in 2025 . . . The Charlotte Observer reported on Wednesday that the coach in question was Auburn assistant Ian Borders . . . The Tigers' new arsenal of wide receivers will hardly even appear recognizable compared to last year, making it one of the most intriguing position groups on the roster . . . "We have a window for student-athletes to notify their school when they would like to enter the transfer portal. If there is movement without going through the process as it is legislated, the committee felt there needed to be significant penalties . . .
