Inside the Auburn Tigers Auburn baseball got another strong outing from midweek starter Andreas Alvarez, who struck out eight batters while allowing three hits and two walks over five innings . . . Mason McCraine had a monster week for the Tigers, going 6-13 with a home run, four runs scored and driving in eight. Playing right field, the true freshman is batting .381 on the season with 10 RBI . . . This will mark the 39th meeting between the two schools dating back to 2001, with Auburn leading the all-time series 26-13. The Tigers have won the last six matchups dating back to 2021, four of which were in Plainsman Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, available to stream on SEC Network+ . . . After losing Friday night's opener in extra innings, Auburn came back to win the next two and took the series from Nebraska. It was the first time since the end of the 2024 season at Missouri that the Tigers lost the opening game of a series and came back to win the next two . . .
