Inside the Auburn Tigers This midweek matchup is set for Tuesday, April 16, at 6 p.m. CST. Tuesday's game will be televised on the SEC Network . . . Fifteen of Auburn's last 19 games have been played against top-eight teams. Auburn became the first SEC program since Georgia in 2016 to play five straight top-10 teams . . . Auburn held a 7-0 lead, but it fell apart and the Tigers ended up getting swept . . . Irish is expected to be ready to go this weekend while Peirce is a game time decision . . . This weekend's series will be challenging, as they welcome the Kentucky Wildcats (27-5, 11-1 SEC) to Plainsman Park for a three-game set . . . The Tigers have played close games against many top SEC teams. Auburn has hung with some of the top teams but just needs to work on finishing. The Tigers host the Kentucky Wildcats at Plainsman Park with the series starting on Thursday, April 11 with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. CST . . . Auburn has not had the best start to SEC play, but they boast a 7-0 record in midweek games . . . The Tigers have turned in a 2.66 ERA and haven't allowed more than four runs in a midweek game . . .
