Auburn Plainsman Auburn has won four of eight SEC home opening series under head coach Butch Thompson. The Tigers have opened SEC play against a ranked opponent in all eight SEC seasons under Thompson. Seven of those series have come against top-10 opponents. The team has won six straight series dating back to the end of the 2024 season . . . "Ike will be out probably 10 days . . . No. 20 Auburn will try to extend the winning streak to 11 when coach Butch Thompson's team takes on Casey Dunn's UAB Blazers at 5:30 p.m. at Regions Field in Birmingham . . . In four games Fralick was 8 -14 (.571) with four runs batted in and also added three walks. In four games he reached base nearly 70 percent of the time. For the season Fralick is leading the team with a .474 batting average and has struck out just four times in 38 plate appearances . . . Butch Thompson has the Tigers completely bought in as they are now on a 10-game win streak. With the Tigers now 11-1, they have now shown they can play and win in different ways . . . Due to the weather forecast in the Birmingham area Tuesday night, the originally scheduled game between No. 20 Auburn and UAB at Regions Field has been postponed until Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. CT . . . Making his third straight start to begin his Auburn career, Christian Chatterton earned his first career win and struck out a season-high nine batters . . . Auburn returns to action on Saturday at 6 p.m. when the Tigers take on Top 10 foe Oregon State . . . "We've got nine games under our belt now and it's time to go on the road . . . To kick off the weekend in Texas, Auburn will go against Ohio State on Friday afternoon . . . The Tigers return to action this weekend in Arlington, Texas where the Tigers will take part in a three-day event at Globe Life Field. Auburn opens play on Friday vs. Ohio State . . . Despite playing a different team, the Tigers' offense looked like they were in the middle of batting practice. By the end of the game, seven of the nine Auburn batters had an RBI and eight of the nine had scored in a run . . . He is the first Auburn player to win SEC Freshman of the Week since Ike Irish won the award in 2023. The Tigers will return to the field on Tuesday when they host Samford at Plainsman Park . . . The Tigers take on Samford on Tuesday night at Plainsman Park before hitting the road to Arlington, Texas for a three-day tournament at Globe Life Field . . . Coach Thompson enjoyed what he saw from his team, saying, "That may be one of our most enjoyable defensive days, and our offense, I think that was my favorite offensive game . . . On Sunday, Auburn's hitting and defense carried the day as the Tigers beat Wright State 9-4 to secure the series sweep . . . The Tigers welcomed the challenge of hosting Wright State, a team that had won at least 30 games in each of the previous five seasons, and passed it with flying colors. Auburn won the series by winning two straight games via run-rule, and completed the sweep Sunday . . . Along with the season-high four home runs, all nine players in the lineup recorded a hit for the second time in three games this weekend . . .
