Tigerland The Tigers actually boast a higher NET ranking than all seven of the other squads featured in CBS Sports' Last Four In and Last Four Out . . . The Tigers will have to play much better defensively than that first game — and better than they have for the better part of the past month . . . Pettiford has played well in three career games against Alabama, averaging 19.0 points and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the floor . . . The Tigers responded in the second half, coming out of the locker room by scoring the first seven points. After scoring just 20 points in the first half, Auburn scored 17 in the third quarter to cut into the Ole Miss lead but it was too little and far too late . . . Auburn is somewhat in control of its own destiny, needing a win on Saturday against Alabama . . . Auburn women's basketball season has come to an end . . . At 10-2, Winthrop will provide a challenge to the Auburn Tigers this weekend. The Eagles are on an eight-game winning streak, most recently defeating Michigan State on Tuesday, 5-2 . . . Tickets for Sunday's originally scheduled game will honor seat locations for game one, and Saturday's originally scheduled game will honor seat locations for game two. Both tickets will provide admission into the ballpark for both games of the doubleheader . . . Auburn will trot Jake Marciano out to start Friday night's opener, and will follow with Jackson Sanders on Saturday and Alex Petrovic in Sunday afternoon's finale. Auburn is 8-1 in weekend games this season . . . More than 22 teams and nearly 300 athletes are participating in the two-day 2026 State of Alabama Special Olympics Basketball Tournament in Auburn this week . . .
